Steven J. Davis
PI | Davis Group

Steve is a Professor in the Dept. of Earth System Science with a joint appointment in Civil & Envtl. Engineering. He researches energy and agricultural systems, the impacts of pollution and environmental change, international trade, and “lock-in” of environmental problems.

Julianne DeAngelo
PhD Student | Davis Group

Julianne is a PhD student who received her B.S. in Earth System Science at Dartmouth College in 2018. Her research interests include net-zero emissions CO2 emissions and difficult-to-decarbonize industry sectors.

Benis Egoh
PI | Egoh Group

Benis is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Earth System Science. Her research involves mapping and valuing of ecosystem services and understanding the economic consequences of land degradation on human well-being and the links between ecosystem services and biodiversity.

Robert Fofrich
PhD Candidate | Davis Group

Robert is a PhD candidate who received his B.S. in Earth System Science at UC Irvine in 2016. His research interests include the infrastructural inertia of CO2 emissions and the adaptive capacity of agriculture.

Chaopeng Hong
Postdoc | Davis Group

Chaopeng earned his PhD from the Dept. of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in 2017 under the supervision of Profs. Qiang Zhang and Kebin He. Chaopeng is now researching the combined effects of air pollution and warming on California perennial crops and the drivers of global land use emissions.

Mody Ayompe Lacour
Postdoc | Egoh Group

Mody is a Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of research and teaching experience in distributed energy resources, renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency systems and energy policy. He is now working [to map ecosystem services in Cameroon.]

Kyle Manley
PhD Student | Egoh Group

Kyle is a PhD student who received his B.S. in Environmental Science at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018. His research focuses on climate change impacts to ecosystem services and the implications of such impacts to human societies and overall ecosystem functioning.

Yue Qin
Former Postdoc | Mueller/Davis Group

Yue earned her PhD from Princeton University in 2017 and is now researching global food-energy-water systems, including the flexibility of water uses and vulnerability to changing snowmelt. She recently joined the faculty in the Geography Dept. at the Ohio State University.

Dan Tong
Former Postdoc | Davis Group

Dan earned her PhD from the Dept. of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in 2017 and is now researching "committed" CO2 emissions and geophyscial constraints on variable renewable energy systems. She has now joined the faculty in the same department at Tsinghua.
